This is Greenwich
Neighbourhood Renewal
Neighbourhood Renewal aims at improving the quality of life and the prospects of people living in areas of greatest need in Greenwich. It is achieving this by finding new ways of working and new ways of engaging the community. We work with the borough's key service providers – such as the Council, the police and health service providers – and encourage them to work in a more joined up way.

NR helps bring security improvements in Eynsham

A new scheme funded by Neighbourhood Renewal in partnership with the Council's Neighbourhood Services Department has brought environmental and security improvements for residents in Eynsham Drive in Abbey Wood.

A pathway under the black of flats at 131-149 Eynsham Drive had become a magnet for anti social behaviour and low-level crime, vandalism and graffiti. The works have designed out the perpetrators of nuisance behaviour. And just as important, the attractive design of the scheme enhances the appearance of the block and Eynsham Drive.

You can read more about it in the June issue of Neighbourhood Renewal's newsletter, New Futures (pdf version).

You can also read about how: Avery Hill residents got their say on youth provision, an NR-funded project has boosted the involvement of people with learning difficulties in decision making forums, a sensory room is helping children with special needs, eco warriors are making their green marking Woolwich common... and much, much more.
