The London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games (LOCOG) has submitted a planning application fot the Olympic event in Greenwich Park. The application was received on 30 November 2009.

Application process
The Council will be dealing with this application as with any other large planning applications. This includes:
- rigorously examining the application and supporting documents to ensure that they meet all the necessary legal requirements
- taking reasonable steps to ensure that interested parties are made aware of the application and invited to comment.
Consultation
The Council has a target for a decision to be made by Council members within 16 weeks of the application being received. This target applies for all applications that require an Environmental Impact Assessment.
