Dead animals

It can be upsetting to see a dead animal on the roadside, whether it is a domestic animal or a wild animal, such as a fox. If you do come across one, contact us by phone or email and we will remove it.

How to report a dead animal

You can report by mail, phone, email or online form:

What happens next

We try to remove dead animals from the public highway within 24 hours of being told of the problem.

Domestic animals

We try to log all domestic animals that are removed, so if you are missing a family pet and suspect that it may have been involved in an accident, please ask us.

Details of where your pet was last seen and any distinguishing marks or collars will help us answer your queries.
