Be an Environment Champion
Are you concerned about the environmental issues that affect the borough? If so, get involved as an Environment Champion.
'Environment Champions' is a borough-wide voluntary scheme where residents can:
help keep an eye on environmental issues affecting their local area
and report any problems to the Council.
The job of an Environment Champion
Most of the work will simply be reporting environment problems such as overflowing litter bins, graffiti and abandoned vehicles.
Environment Champions decide for themselves how much time they spend on the job and what area to keep an eye on.
There will also be opportunities to:
accompany Council officers on estate inspections
learn how to assess street cleanliness
take part in clean-ups.
