We will replace the following bins within seven working days of your call:

  • green-top bin (for food and garden waste)

  • communal bin.
If your wheelie bin is lost in the back of a collection vehicle, our crew will drop a card through your door to inform you that a new one has been ordered.

Recycling sacks

Call us on 020 8921 4661 or use the email on the right of this page to request replacement recycling sacks. We will deliver them within ten working days.

Who can receive wheelie bins?

All households are eligible to receive a container.

In general, wheeled containers will be provided except in cases where:

  • the property is on a flatted estate (communal facilities will be provided instead)
  • where the property has insufficient space for storing the container off the public highway
  • where it is impractical or unsafe to use a wheeled container
An example of the last case is where the container has to be moved up and down a number of steps.  In this situation the Council will provide a wheeled bin for the temporary storage of waste in sacks.

However the householder will be responsible for moving the sacks only to the collection point on the required collection day.
