Improving local communities

Two children at the playgroundGreenwich Neighbourhood Renewal Unit aims to narrow the gap between the most deprived areas and the rest of the borough.

We do this by:

  • looking at ways to reduce unemployment and crime

  • improving health, housing and the environment within these neighbourhoods

  • promoting skills and training

  • encouraging partnership working among local public service providers, communities and the Council

  • involving residents in service planning and delivery for their neighbourhood.

Neighbourhood Renewal Programme 2006-08

The investment will be split according to the four themes of the Greenwich Local Area Agreement.
