Future plans for the Peninsula
Greenwich has come a long way in its regeneration, but local residents can expect even more improvements.
What will happen
From 2006 to 2020, the Council will:
- continue developing Woolwich, Kidbrooke and Royal Arsenal, and to carry out improvements to town centres
- play a leading role in the Thames Gateway and maximise the benefits from the Olympic Games for local communities
- work with agencies and local partners to create benefits that are shared across diverse communities in Greenwich
- create conditions that enable businesses to flourish
- improve transport links between the north and south of the borough.
