White Hart Triangle

Foundation work at White Hart Triangle Laying the foundations at White Hart Triangle
The site known as the White Hart Triangle is the borough's biggest industrial development. It is being transformed with the help of European funding and will, when completed, create about 2,000 new jobs.

Greenwich Local Labour and Business (GLLaB), the Council's local labour initiative, is working with the developer to ensure local communities can access these job opportunities.

Area covered

The site will provide space for various types of business on 161,900 square metres (40 acres) of formerly derelict land between Thamesmead and Woolwich.

So far...

A new infrastructure has been developed to include a new access road and bridge, and the land has been decontaminated.

The initial phases of the development have been completed, providing new business space, industrial office units, warehousing and distribution floor space.

To come...

Permission has also been granted for a further phase of the development.

Funding

The development is a result of a joint venture agreement between the Council, the London Development Agency (LDA) and Tilfen Land. It has attracted £17 million of public sector funding, including £2.5 million from the Council.
