The Council has a statutory obligation to buy back your property at market value and help those who cannot find suitable alternative accommodation.
The Council is offering homeowners an advance payment of 90% of the open market value, with any balance to be paid once the independent Lands Tribunal has determined the final value. Homeowners are also entitled to 10% of the market value as home loss compensation.
