The Council's aims for the area are to provide:
"A sustainable neighbourhood with new homes in a range of sizes and tenures providing homes for rent, key worker housing, shared ownership and homes for sale. The new housing will enjoy facilities which encourage the development of a living, learning, interactive and healthy community."

To deliver this vision, the Council and Berkeley Homes are working with partners in the community, the private sector and other government agencies.
The Council is working with health care providers and Greenwich Primary Care Trust to ensure that the health needs of the area continue to be met throughout the period of redevelopment.

About the Kidbrooke development area
The Kidbrooke area consists of 109 hectares of land around Kidbrooke rail station in south east London.
The area is dominated by the Ferrier Estate.
The Ferrier Estate was built in the late 1960s and early 1970s, with tenants moving into the estate in 1974.
There are 1,906 residential units, of which 12 per cent are houses.
