Applications for Article 4 Direction areas are free.

The fees are the same nationwide and depend on the type and extent of the works.

The fee is only refundable if the application is invalid. If you withdraw your application the fee is not refundable.

Further application

When a previous application has been granted, refused or withdrawn, one further application can generally be made free of charge within 12 months, provided it is:

for the same type of development
on the same site
by the same applicant.
