How to comment on planning applications
You have usually approximately 21 days after the application is first published including on this website to send in your comments to the Council.
The Council will carefully consider all your comments before making a decision on an application.
Points to note
At the top of your comments, write ‘Comments on the planning application of’ followed by the address, and ideally its reference number.
Comments or opinions must backed up with logical and reasoned arguments. There's very little point only moaning or praising or being very emotional about your reasons.
You should say whether you think the application should be: accepted; accepted with certain changes (and explain what these should be); or rejected.
If you would like to be sent a letter with the outcome of the decision, please request this in your email or letter, and include your name and postal address.
