Do I need permission?
FAQ
Do I need planning permission to install new windows?
No, you do not need to apply for planning permission to replace windows – whether you do it yourself or you use a company – unless you live in a
listed building
or an Article 4 Direction area which in the borough are all in
Conservation Areas
.
It's free to apply though if you live in an Article 4 Direction area. To apply you would need to supply details of the replacement windows and diagrams of how the finished work would appear.
