Local searches

The Local Land Charges Register records information about properties (or 'parcels of land') within Greenwich. This includes any legal restrictions or development proposals affecting a particular property.

This is the kind of information a prospective buyer needs to know before going ahead as it may restrict their plans for the property or affect its price or saleability when they come to sell, maybe many years later.

Who can search?

Searching this register is often described as a ‘local search’. It can be carried out by anyone acting on behalf of prospective buyers of a property.

Search forms - required and optional parts

With the introduction of the new 2007 search forms, the required and optional parts are now separate, standalone products.

The three standard search forms that can be used individually are:

  • Form LLC1
  • Form CON29R
  • Form CON29O.
Question 22 on the new Form CON29O replaces Form CR21 (Common Land enquiries). For further information about the difference between Question 22 and the CR21 form, please contact Greenwich Land Charges using the details on your right.

Official search or personal search?

You can perform searches by post, National Land and Property Information Service (NLIS) or through a personal search agency.

All our search products are available to all applicants, but only official searches completed by Greenwich Land Charges carry the Council's guarantee.
