The Greenwich Licensing Policy gives guidance to anyone who runs a business with an entertainment, alcohol or night cafe licence.
The present licensing regime for alcohol and entertainment became law on 24 November 2005. Greenwich Council is required to publish a statement of its licensing policy for the Licensing Act 2003 and to review that policy at least every three years.
Statement updated 7 January 2008
The new statement of licensing policy came into effect on 7 January 2008.
The revised policy aims to reflect the issues that have arisen in the borough since the new legislation has been in place. The revised policy will be in place for up to three years but can be reviewed and revised at any time.
The Council will apply this policy in carrying out its functions under the Licensing Act 2003.
