Greener Greenwich
Green projects around the borough
Energy-saving show home
The Council is showcasing some of the most up-to-date methods of energy saving. We hope that this will help raise awareness among householders across the borough.
A Council home has been refurbished using the latest technology for:
renewable energy, such as solar and wind power
energy saving devices
recycling
The Greenwich Eco House opened in Plumstead in September 2008.

Demonstration of benefits
The aim is to show how improving homes to this standard can reduce the impact that our homes have on the global environment.
The project also demonstrates the cash savings that energy-efficient technology can help achieve.
