First, check whether you are eligible for the Council's home improvement grants. 

These may turn out to be more helpful to you than the energy grants below.

After checking the home improvement grants, you may wish to find out about financial aid schemes available to help with the cost of insulation or having a boiler replaced:

Warm Front Grants

This is a government funded grant available to the elderly, families with small children or those with disabilities or special needs.

Warm and Wise loans

You maybe eligible for an interest free loan to replace your old boiler. You can also get up to 65% off insulation and save on installation.

Winter Fuel Payments 

If you are 60 years old or over, you may be able to receive a payment worth up to £200 to most people.

Coldbusters

If you are a homeowner or private renter, and are in receipt of a benefit, you may be eligible for the Coldbusters scheme. The grant covers the full costs of insulation and heating installations. For more information, phone 0800 358 6668.
