Well Hall Pleasaunce The 16th century Tudor Barn
This ancient site is connected historically with the Tudor Monarchs’ residence at nearby Eltham Palace. Margaret More, daughter of Sir Thomas More, Lord Chancellor (who resided near Eltham Palace) married William Roper, who lived at Well Hall.

Tudor Barn

An original building survives – the 16th century Tudor Barn.

The Tudor Barn is now available for hire and is open as a tea rooms from Monday to Friday from 9am to 3pm.

Awards

Well Hall Pleasaunce was awarded the prestigious Green Flag award in 2004. This was a result of a successful bid by the Council's Parks and Open Spaces team.  

The site has retained the award in each subsequent year, the most recent being for the 2008-2009 period.

It was also awarded a Green Apple in 2004 for its contribution to the community and environment.

Historical walks

The park ranger service conducts walking tours, where you can learn about the historical landmarks of Well Hall Pleasaunce. 

The walks are on the first Wednesday of each month at 10.30am, and on the second Sunday of the month at 2pm.  Meet the rangers by the Co-op gate in Well Hall Road.
