A large park, located by Charlton park and Charlton Lido, with formal gardens and plenty of areas for different activities, including a paddling pool which is open for the summer holidays only.
Next to the park, on Shooters Hill Road (near to the pedestrian footbridge), is an old pet cemetery and Memorial Garden.
Charlton Lido refurbishment
Due to a major refurbishment of Charlton Lido starting this summer the pool is closed.
The children's paddling pool will be open as usual.
This improved scheme includes:
- an indoor diving centre
- a gym
- a clubroom
- staff accommodation
- a bigger car park
- an improved play area including an upgrade of the children’s playground.
The development will also preserve the lido and maintain the historically popular community venue which may have otherwise closed due to health and safety issues.
