Help with evictions
There are a range of factors that determine whether an eviction is lawful and whether anything can be done to stop or delay it. There are three types:
Evictions by the Police and Local Authority from public or private land
Evictions from private land by private landowner
Evictions by planning authorities under planning law
If you are threatened with eviction, find out who is evicting you, under what law and statute, then get in touch with the following as soon as you can:
Families, Friends and Travellers (FFT)
Tel: 01273 234 777
Monday to Friday, 10 - 5pm (closed on Wednesdays)
Travellers Advice Team (TAT)
Tel: 0845 120 2980
Monday to Friday, 10 - 1pm and 2 - 5pm
24-hour mobile: 07768 316 75
