Freedom of the Borough

 
The Freedom of the Borough is awarded to people and organisations who have rendered eminent services to the Council.

It is the highest award the Council can give and is an honour bestowed on very few people.

Since 1966, just 18 people and organisations have been awarded the Freedom of the Borough:

  • The Royal Regiment of Artillery reaffirmed on 24th May 1966
