Under the Data Protection Act 1998, you are entitled to ask the Council for a copy of all the personal information that the Council holds about you when it provides services to you.

This information includes a description of the purposes for which we hold the data (for example, if you are a Council housing tenant, we will hold data about you in our capacity as landlord). It also includes a description of the recipients to whom the data can be disclosed.

This entitlement is known as the Right of Access to Personal Data.
