Voting by post

You can apply to vote by post instead of going to a polling place, without needing to give a reason.

To apply to vote by post download an application form below, or contact the electoral office.

Application form

You can download the postal vote application form here:

To view this document, you will need Adobe Acrobat Reader. Other languages: postal vote application form

You can print this form and return it to us at the Electoral Office.

As a security measure, you must give your signature and date of birth when applying. These are used to compare against your signature and date of birth on a postal vote statement which you must return with your postal vote.

What to do if you forget to post your vote

If you forget to send your postal vote, you can take it to one of the polling stations on polling day and the polling staff will arrange for your postal vote to be sent to the count.
