Improving Health, Cutting Inequalities Partnership

The Improving Health, Cutting Inequalities Partnership aims to support the effective co-ordination of cross-agency action to address the underlying causes of ill-health and health inequalities in Greenwich, within a clear evidence-based and strategic framework.

The Partnership has five main functions in support of this aim:

  1. To act as a forum strengthening links with the LSP and other strategic bodies and to share intelligence on initiatives and development plans, to improve health and reduce health inequalities in the borough. This includes the development of joint action plans to address key priorities and gaps.

  2. To ensure that activity to meet strategic objectives is co-ordinated across agencies and that local resources are used to greatest effect. This will include, for example, acting as a key partnership for informing the ongoing development of regeneration and Neighbourhood Renewal programmes regarding their health inequalities targets and activities. Improving Health, Cutting Inequalities Partnership is a lead partnership body of the Healthier Communities and Older People’s block of the Local Area Agreement.

  3. To review key strategic developments and policies which have the potential to impact on health, and advise other partnerships and lead agencies on how to strengthen positive health impacts and address health inequalities.

  4. Monitoring
