The CARE Unity Cup is an inter-faith, cross-cultural football tournament.
It brings together members of different communities, and promotes learning and cultural understanding.
CARE Unity Model
The CARE Unity Model is based on a method of team selection where players are recruited in advance and then divided into mixed teams.
Players are drawn from the extensive range of organisations that CARE works with.
The objective is to create teams made up of players from the communities that work together on the field of play.
The event has a real impact on developing positive community relationships, and building community cohesion.
Recognition
The Care Unity Model appeared in our paper Uniting Communities which was published in a special edition of the influential EU Journal - Equal Voices, as part of Euro 2008.
You can view a copy of the journal by visiting the EU website.
