Thames Gateway London Partnership
The Thames Gateway London Partnership (TGLP) is a sub-regional alliance comprising twelve local authorities (including Greenwich), the London East Learning and Skills Council, five universities, two colleges and two strategic health authorities. It promotes the opportunities presented by the Thames Gateway and the pressing needs that must be tackled to achieve the area’s potential.
The TGLP’s objectives are to help achieve balanced and sustainable regeneration by: supporting the strategic regeneration and sustainable development of the Thames Gateway; working in partnership to support the physical and economic development of the Thames Gateway; working in partnership to foster safe, strong and cohesive communities in the Thames Gateway; and working with local partners to develop opportunities for the community and improve the quality of life.
The TGLP is not a delivery body. Its focus is upon partnership work, coordination and lobbying.
