Local Agenda 21 Partnership
The Local Agenda 21 process in Greenwich was integrated into the
Local Strategic Partnership
and has supported the production of the
Greenwich Strategy
, which has sustainability as one of its basic principles.
An Environment Community Network is to be re-established as part of the Community Empowerment Networks that enable the local community to have an input into the Partnership.
Greenwich Council also has a
Sustainable Development Policy
which sets overarching principles on the responsibilities that the Council has in ensuring its practices contribute to local sustainability. For further information see the council's
Action for the Environment
leaflet.
We also produce a newsletter called
Environment Talk
that provides an update on action that is being taken on environmental issues.
