Greenwich Affordable Housing Partnership

The Greenwich Affordable Housing Partnership is an initiative to continue and develop the good working relationships which have been established with our Joint Commissioning Partners and the Housing Corporation over the past 5 years, and to establish a new Forum to work with all Registered Social Landlords (RSL), who currently own stock in the borough and are willing to commit themselves to partnership working.

The new Greenwich Affordable Housing Partnership works together to create an open, honest, trusting and transparent relationship between the parties in order to:

  • Develop Greenwich’s Housing Strategy and establish the priorities of the Social Housing Investment Programme, linking this to the wider South East London sub regional housing strategy, the Housing Corporation sub regional Housing programme, the London Housing Strategy and the London Housing Board priorities for investment.

  • Maximise the attraction of external investment into the Borough and the wider South East London sub region in order to improve the quantity and quality of Affordable housing and the associated economic, social and environmental requirements to regenerate the neighbourhoods and create sustainable communities.

  • Maintain a list of “selected local partners” for developing schemes in the borough.

  • Develop and implement the Local Investment Plan agenda over the next 5 years.

  • Set joint standards for Programme Delivery, the establishment of Housing Plus initiatives and the management of the stock in line with good practice and achieving greater efficiency.

Organisation

The work of the new Greenwich Affordable Housing Partnership will be undertaken by a Partnership Review Group (PRG) and Topic based groups as required.

  • The PRG will meet once a quarter.

  • In addition there will be an annual meeting for RSL Chief Executives/Regional Directors in the borough to elect a representative to sit on the Sub Regional Directors Group and the Local Strategic partnership. Partnership Review Group may be chaired by an RSL representative elected by the group and serviced by the Council.
