Get a Grant Online

1 November 2006

A new free and easy-to-use grant-based database is now available for the borough’s residents to use on the Greenwich Council Website.

The unique software, known as GRANTnet, is accessible through the Greenwich Website Homepage, and allows visitors to search a database of grants, loans, and many other related-initiatives available in the UK.

Open to all, but particularly relevant to voluntary, community and faith organisations and small businesses, this new site holds details on over 40,000 resources across the country, including:

· European Commission grants
· UK government grants
· Local government grants
· Corporate sponsors
· Charitable trusts

Councillor Angela Cornforth, Greenwich Council’s Deputy Leader, said,

“This new database will provide an invaluable service to our residents, businesses and community groups in the borough. The site gives everyone the chance to explore any projects, ideas or initiatives they may have, which can only serve as a huge benefit to the borough.”

The database can be accessed through at the following Greenwich Website address:
