Statement of Accounts 2007 to 2008

The Council's annual Statement of Accounts will give you details of the Council's revenue and capital expenditure, along with information about the Council's assets and liabilities.

Revenue spending funds the day-to-day provision and delivery of services and running costs through the year. It is funded from government grants, Council Tax, business rates and other income.

Capital expenditure (such as the re-roofing of a Council house) is spending on items of benefit to the community for longer than one year, and is financed from loans, grants, capital receipts and contributions from revenue.
