FAQ
How does the Council choose best value themes?
Greenwich Council carries out best value reviews of services which cover broad themes and cut across a range of services. This includes services provided by other organisations, such as our service partners in health, or the police.
This theme-based review programme is based on a number of key factors including:
community concerns and local community priorities as identified in our extensive consultation exercises - for example, the annual residents' survey, or the consultation for the
Greenwich Strategy
national priorities as found in the national and local shared priorities agreed between the Government and the Local Government Association
areas of concern identified by independent inspectors, as with issues flagged up in our
Comprehensive Performance Assessment
judgements
areas of concern which we identify through our own service planning and performance management arrangements - for example, in comparative performance levels, pressures on service budgets, or new external influences such as legislative change
