Greenwich tourism's application for Beacon status

Promoting sustainable tourism
You can find out the details of our work on 'Promoting Sustainable Tourism' in the borough by downloading the documents described below.

Our application

The application describes how we meet the criteria set by the Department for Communities and Local Government (DCLG – formerly the ODPM), how we work with partners, and how we intend to share our good practice with other authorities.

Supplementary questions and answers

After our initial application, the DCLG asked us to answer a set of supplementary questions on our tourism work. These are included here too.

The DCLG report

Or to give it its full title - Report of the advisory panel on Beacon Councils: recommendations to ministers on Beacon Authorities for round 5.

This describes the assessment process and the selection criteria. The report details what information the advisory panel considered and lists all the Councils recommended for Beacon status this year (round 5).
