Financial services and acccounting	Council budgets	Accounts	The Council’s statements of accounts published by the Council for the financial year ending the previous 31^st March and for the preceding five financial years, together with all books, deeds, contracts, bills, vouchers and receipts relating to them. This class is limited by the following: - The Council must have published the statements of accounts when the request is made; this occurs by 31^st August in the calendar year after the end of the financial year in question. Persons asking before the statement is published will only be entitled to the preceding year’s statement (2000/2001) and supporting information. No information will be disclosed relating to an existing or former employee of the Council or which would be ‘exempt’ within the meaning of the Freedom of Information Act at the date of the request. Supporting information (books, bills, vouchers and receipts) will be destroyed after six years.
