There is a person with a disability in the home

 
A special discount in the Council Tax bill can be given if you or anyone in your home is disabled, but only if one or more of the following statements is true:

  • A room in the home is mainly used and needed by the disabled person; 
  • A second bathroom or kitchen in the home is used and needed by the disabled person
  • A wheelchair is used indoors by the disabled person.
If a discount can be given, you would only have to pay Council Tax at the band below the one that would normally apply to your home.

So, if your home is in Band D the charge would only be at the Band C level. If your home falls in B and A a fixed discount will apply.
