Council Tax
Moving
If you are moving into or out of a property in Greenwich, you need to let us know as soon as possible.
That way, we can make sure you are paying the right amount of Council Tax.
How to tell us
You can use our
online form
to tell us if you're moving in or out of the borough. We will adjust your Council Tax records accordingly.
You can also call us on 020 8921 4147, and we will sort it out for you over the phone.
You will need to have the following details to hand:
If you are moving out of the borough:
the address of property you are moving from
the date you are moving
your Council Tax reference number (if known)
if you rent the property, we need your landlord's name and address.
If you are moving into the borough:
the address of property you are moving to
your previous address
the names of anyone over 18 living with you
the date you are moving in
if you rent the property we need your landlord's name and address
if you own the property, we need the date of completion, and
the forwarding address of the previous owner/occupier (if known).
