Your Council Tax is a fee collected on your property to pay for vital services provided by the Council, the Greater London Authority and the Environment Agency.

Applying for reductions and discounts

You can assess your eligibility for discounts online with our Council Tax Wizard.

The Council Tax Wizard will ask you questions about your situation, and then tell you whether you are LIKELY to be entitled to a discount. The information that you submit is sent to a Council Officer for assessment.

There are some Council Tax exemptions, and if you live alone, or have a low income, for example, your household may be eligible for a discount or Council Tax Benefit.

Moving in and out of Greenwich

You can also use our online form to tell us if you're moving in or out of the borough. We will adjust your Council Tax records accordingly.
