Overview and Scrutiny Annual Reports

 
The Council's Overview and Scrutiny function plays a vital role in monitoring the Council's service delivery and performance. The Scrutiny function includes:

• reviewing policies and practices
• making recommendations to Council on matters which affect the borough and its residents
• scrutinising decisions made by the Council's Cabinet
• calling Cabinet members and chief officers to account.

The Council publishes an annual Overview and Scrutiny Report which discusses the work done by the Overview and Scrutiny Committee, the Overview and Scrutiny Call-In Sub-Committee, and the Council's Scrutiny Panels.
