Licensing committees
The Council is responsible for allocating licences and making sure that licensing regulations are enforced.
This includes licensing:
the retail sale of alcohol
supply of alcohol by clubs
provision of entertainment (live music, recorded music, dancing, indoor sports, boxing or wrestling, films, plays)
provision of late night refreshment (night cafes).
