Cabinet members and meetings

The Council’s Cabinet is a group of ten Councillors that is responsible for taking major day-to-day decisions. The Cabinet is responsible for making sure that Council services are delivered, and for Executive functions.

Each Cabinet member is responsible for a specific area of service delivery. These areas of responsibility are listed next to the ten Cabinet members’ names below. As a group, the Cabinet also leads Council-wide policy and strategy development on issues that cover all Council departments.

View the Forward Plan for more on topics for discussion in the next few months.
