The Cabinet

The Council’s Cabinet is a group of Councillors that is responsible for taking major day-to-day decisions. The Cabinet is responsible for making sure Council services are delivered, and for Executive functions.

Each Cabinet member is responsible for a specific area of service delivery. The Cabinet also leads Council-wide policy and strategy development on issues that cover all Council departments.

The ten-member Cabinet meets once a month.

Three Cabinet members form the Cabinet Committee. They meet twice a month.

See the links in the left menu for more on the Cabinet and the Cabinet Committee.
