How to complain to the Local Government Ombudsman

 
The Ombudsman is an independent person who investigates complaints about local Councils.

When should you complain to the Ombudsman?

You can complain directly to the Ombudsman at any time. The Ombudsman will usually consider your complaint after it has been looked at under our complaints procedure.

Independent Housing Ombudsman

The Independent Housing Ombudsman investigates complaints about Housing Associations, housing companies and some other private landlords, but not complaints about Council housing. For further information, visit the Independent Housing Ombudsman webpage.
