The fair will run from 9.30am – 3pm at Woolwich Town Hall.
You will also be able to get:

- job search support
- childcare advice.
Guidance about possible sources of funding and other additional support will be available.
Seminars and workshops
In addition to the main fair, twenty-minute seminars will run throughout the day on a variety of topics including:
- a career in childcare
- tax credits and other benefits,
- volunteering and managing work
- childcare as a parent.
Taster workshops will cover CVs, application forms and employability skills.
Who will be there?
Several local training providers including Greenwich Community College, Bexley College and Lewisham College, will be involved and provide parents with information and advice about training and qualifications.
Greenwich Online will also be bringing their computer bus, which will be parked outside the Town Hall.
Council representatives will be on hand to provide information and advice about finding and using childcare, and the funding available, while Jobcentre Plus and GLLaB will assist parents who are looking for a job with details of current job opportunities and available training programmes.
Helping parents to fulfil their potential
Cllr Jackie Smith, Cabinet Member for Children and Young People’s Services, said: "Helping parents to fulfil their potential also has a positive impact on their own children’s learning and achievement and I look forward to seeing as many parents as possible taking the time to pop down."
Making the most of opportunities
Councillor Denise Hyland, Cabinet Member for Economy and Skills, said: "It’s extremely important that parents receive support which will enable them to get into jobs, training or education. Events like this job fair can go some way to helping parents overcome the barriers which may prevent them from making the most of their opportunities."
