Free training at Children's Centres

Calling all Greenwich parents and carers with under-fives to check out some free courses and learn, whilst your children are enjoying themselves.

Greenwich Local Labour and Business (GLLaB) are organising courses aimed at Greenwich residents who are eligible for benefits and working less than 16-hours a week.

The free courses are being run at two Children's Centres in the borough:

Alderwood Children's Centre, situated alongside the primary school in Rainham Close, Eltham offers courses on:

  • food hygeine
  • health and safety
  • making the most of your money.
Vista Fields Children's Centre, Middle Park Avenue, Eltham offers a range of courses including:

  • children's first aid
  • motivational training
  • making the most of your money.

Additional GLLaB services

As well as organising the above, GLLaB also offer courses on a range of topics including:

  • mastering interviews
  • mastering job search
  • improving confidence
  • office skills
  • IT training
  • retail skills
  • customer service training
  • first aid training
  • food hygiene.
If you are unable to attend GLLaB, employment and training advisors attend various children's centres and community centres around the borough.
