Registering with GLLaB

How do I register with GLLaB?

You can obtain a GLLaB registration form at any one of our 26 Local Advice and Drop In Centres borough-wide.

If you are a Greenwich resident who is either unemployed or working less than 16 hours per week or at threat of being made redundant, you will need to supply three current proofs of address with your registration form.

If you are working more than 16 hours per week or live outside Greenwich borough our staff are available to offer information and advice. However, due to funding constraints, you may not be eligible to access all our service provision.

Please contact the GLLaB head office before visiting a Local and Advice and Drop In Centre. These centres have various opening times see the Local Advice and Drop In Centres webpage for more information.

What happens after I submit my registration form?

Once you have submitted your registration form and provided the appropriate proofs of address you will need to see a GLLaB Advisor for a Personal Development Interview (PDI).

GLLaB operates a drop in service for PDI - you can attend at any of our Local and Advice and Drop In Centres without the need for an appointment – with the exception of children’s centres for which you should contact the Advisor in advance.

PDIs are undertaken in the mornings Monday to Thursday and customers should arrive before 10.30am in order to be seen that day.

The PDI lasts approximately 45 minutes and your GLLaB Advisor will enter your details onto our electronic database. You will be asked a range of questions to help identify your job aim and training needs.

At the end of the PDI you will be given a customer agreement to sign and a copy of your personal development plan, which identifies all the information you have discussed and agreed at the PDI, including details of any training course that GLLaB has agreed to fund.

Does GLLaB help disadvantaged groups?

GLLaB funding provides support to those individuals furthest from the labour market. We manage a range of training and work placement opportunities to help support people from disadvantaged groups into employment.

Eligibility criteria apply to our funding programmes / projects - visit one of our Local Advice and Drop In Centres to speak to an Advisor about the projects we currently have available that you could join.
