Awards and commendations

 
The work of Greenwich Local Labour and Business has been recognised by commendations and awards:

London Development Agency
ChatermarkGLLaB has been awarded the Charter Mark Standard following two consecutive assessments first in 2002 and then in 2006. GLLaB is commended on Best Practice in the areas of partnership working and customer care.
  • In January 2008 GLLaB has been nominated for three staff awards: Skills Improvement Award, Team of the Year Award and the Partnership Working Award.

  • In February 2006 GLLaB won the Council's Promoter of Vision and Values Award for their Work and Learn Centre.

  • GLLaB won two Council Staff Awards in February 2007- the first was awarded to Michelle Rankin - GLLaB Manager for Employee of the Year and the second Innovative Working Award for GLLaB's Intermediate Labour Market (ILM) programme. GLLaB also received nominations in two further categories: the Children’s Centre Team was nominated for Team of the Year as well as the award for Frontline Work.

  • It achieved Beacon Status for Removing Barriers to Work for the period 2003/2004.
