Awards and commendations

 
The work of Greenwich Local Labour and Business has been recognised by commendations and awards:
ChatermarkGLLaB has been awarded the Charter Mark Standard following two consecutive assessments first in 2002 and then in 2006. GLLaB is commended on Best Practice in the areas of partnership working and customer care.
  • In 2008 GLLaB won the Council’s staff award for Partnership Working, and was highly commended in the Team of the Year category.

  • GLLaB won two staff awards in 2007. GLLaB Manager Michelle Rankin was awarded Employee of the Year, and GLLaB won the Innovative Working Award for its Intermediate Labour Market (ILM) Programme.

  • In 2006 GLLaB won the Council’s Promoter of Vision and Values Award for its North Greenwich Work & Learn Centre.

  • It achieved Beacon Status for Removing Barriers to Work in 2003.

  • GLLaB has also made a considerable contribution to other Beacon Awards, including: Promoting Sustainable Tourism, Improving Accessibility and Reducing Inequalities, and in 2009 to the Olympic Games and Paralympics Legacy Award
