Greenwich Local Labour and Business (GLLaB) has assisted over 8,000 people into work since its inception and continues to improve access to employment for Greenwich residents.

The Council provides a Business Support Service to local businesses, which promotes inward investment and works with partner agencies to create new employment opportunities to further reduce unemployment in the Borough. 

The statistics are from the Nomisweb website, compiled by the Office of National Statistics.

Employment rate

The employment rate is the proportion of people in employment as a percentage of the working age population. These statistcs were obtained in the Annual Population Survey.

Unemployment levels

The unemployment levels are based on the Claimant Count, which refers to the number of people claiming Jobseekers Allowance (JSA) and National Insurance Credits.
