Actuarial valuations

Actuarial Valuation 2001 (pdf 318kb). Actuarial valuations take place every three years. They review the pension fund's financial position and recommend participating employer contribution rates.

Statement of investment principles

Under the Local Government Pension Scheme (Management and Investment of Funds) [Amendment] Regulations 1999 (as amended by SI 2002 No 1852), administering authorities must prepare, maintain and publish a written statement of the principles governing their investment decisions.

This is called the Statement of Investment Principles (SIP), and it includes compliance with the Myners report (pdf 311kb).

There have been five versions of the Statement of Investment Principles at Greenwich Council:
