Applying for street banners
To erect a banner in a street you will need to apply for a banner licence from the Council. These licences are only valid for 1 month.
We only allow banners in two streets in the borough: Powis Street and Hare Street. They may be of a maximum size of 8m long and 1m high, with top and bottom support wires.
The applicant is also required to erect the banner using an installer approved by the Council.
How to apply
From 1 April 2007, prices were set at £106.00 per licence. These charges are subject to annual review.
To apply for a street banner licence or find out more about making an application and a list of installers, please use the contact details on the right.
