Have you lost your Blue Badge? Or is there a problem at a disabled parking bay that needs fixing? Report it to the Mobility Team.
Stolen or lost Blue Badges
If your Blue Badge is stolen or lost, report it immediately to the police who will give you a crime or lost property reference number. We will ask for the number when considering whether to issue a replacement badge.
To request a replacement badge, send in a letter to:
Mobility Team
2nd Floor
Riverside House East
Woolwich High Street
London SE18 6BU
Your letter should contain:
- an explanation of how it was lost
- the badge holder's signature
- the badge holder's photograph
- a cheque or postal order for £2.
You can use the same photograph as the one in your previous badge if your appearance has not changed since it was taken.
If you have trouble getting into a photo booth, you may submit a standard photograph that can be cut to passport size.
Parking bay removal or maintenance
If a parking bay is no longer required, or if it needs maintenance, please notify the Mobility Team.
If a resident who has a parking bay moves or passes away, the new resident or someone living in the street must put the request in writing and send it to the Mobility Team.
The removal process can take up to three months as we need to amend a traffic order.
Misuse of disabled bays
It is an offence to park in a Blue Badge parking bay without displaying a Blue Badge. If someone is misusing a disabled parking pay, please report it to a traffic warden or parking enforcement officer.
It is an offence to refuse or fail to produce a badge for inspection without reasonable excuse.
We can take away a badge if a badge holder misuses it, for example, allows another person to use it.
A non-disabled person caught misusing disabled bays and convicted of an offence can be fined up to £1,000.
