Taxi ranks provide a set location where you can hire a licensed taxi.

Ranks are situated in locations where the public most need taxis. For example - transport stations, hotels and major shopping areas. They are placed so that passengers can board or alight from the footpath.

Can I request a taxi rank at a busy location?

If you would like to request a taxi rank in a new location, you should contact the Public Carriage Office, you can use their online form or call them. 

They will then consult with the Council about your request.
